Why do Pacific Islander get tattoos

They get their tribal tattoos,so they can be recognized in there tribes groups.                                               Like if they are in war then they don’t get shoot or kill their people in the tribe.                                    Sometimes some other non-pacific islanders get tattoos of a country or a bunch of countries on their skin to show how much they love a Island or a country.

Women

The only difference between men and woman was that the women did not get tattoos all over their body.They get tattoos on their arms,lips,hands and chin.Around about 15-18 they get simple designs.Tattoos originally done on women!!

When do pacific islander get tattoos?

Men

Once a young man entered his 12th year of life, he would be able to get his tattoos!! Specific marks defined his travel from being a young boy to becoming a man. With each achievement that is made, the person would receive  more tattooing. The more tattoos you have, the more respect you are given in your group or tribe.

What does the BIBLE have to say about getting tattoos??

Leviticus 9:4:

“Do not cut your bodies for the dead

or put tattoo marks on your self.

I am the Lord.”

But Ezekiel 9:4 says:  

 “Go throughout the city of Jerusalem

 and put a mark on the foreheads of those who grieve

and lament over all the detestable things that are done in it.”

But that is god saying both scripture

so which one is true??? So we don’t know what is true,But it is the Pacific islanders choice to get a tattoo even if they are not a Christian
